Application Rules

Absolutely no plagiarizing. This means that copying and pasting or directly paraphrasing from online sources like wikipedia will result in a rejection-- no exceptions.
Applications will be reviewed within three days of submission unless the mod indicates otherwise.
If revisions to your application are needed, you have three days to resubmit with said revisions.
If your application is rejected, you may reapply to the game after a week's time.
Please post your application (or a link to it) to this post. All comments will be screened for privacy.
Applications can be submitted in other formats than that provided; however, all information required must be included.

NAME/ALIAS: something for us to call you, please!
AGE: just want to be sure you're over seventeen
E-MAIL: for mod contact purposes; can be left out of public profile
PERSONAL JOURNAL/CDJ: optional
TIMEZONE: optional
AIM/MESSENGER: optional

character info.
NAME: given name plus nicknames/aliases if applicable
RANK: for Starfleet personnel only, obviously (up to player if not listed here)
DIVISION: what color shirt is your character wearing? science (blue), command (gold) or operations (red) (up to player if not listed here)
DEPARTMENT: communications, engineering {includes transporter chiefs & techs/computer specialists}, medical {includes doctors/nurses/med techs}, navigation {includes helmsmen/pilots}, sciences {includes geology/biology/chemistry/physics/botany/special projects}, support staff {includes yeomen/random jobs}, tactical {includes security/weapons specialists} (up to player if not listed here)
POSITION: what job does s/he do on board? (up to player if not listed here)
JOURNAL NAME: may be created after app is accepted

APPEARANCE: no need to get too detailed but please include distinguishing features, your character's style/how they choose to dress when out of uniform and anything else PB icons cannot/would not showcase; also, be sure to specify if the character prefers the skirted or pants uniform-- or if they wear both
AGE/DOB: stardates may be used
PB: it's not required to stick with canon characteristics-- more diversity is always better!

PERSONALITY: two paragraph minimum; for those of us who may not know, tell us what you're character is like-- what's their relationship with their family like? what's important to them? do they have any passions? what about fears or phobias? have they ever had any romantic entanglements? what kind of friend are they?
HISTORY: three paragraph minimum; feel free to expand on canon or add things in from TOS or even create backstory for characters with none-- we want to know what this character's been through

SKILLS: what is your character good at? (besides, hopefully, their job)
LIKES: optional but fun
DISLIKES: optional but fun

WRITING SAMPLE: at least two hundred words written in third person past tense

also, feel free to include any notes/other information that may be pertinent
